AZURA BINTI ABIDIN

Director, ANTI-DOPING AGENCY OF MALAYSIA (ADAMAS)

Azura Abidin was born and raised in Ipoh, Perak. She received her early education at the SRK and SMK Tarcisian Convent Ipoh from 1975-1985 and later pursued her Form Six at SMK Anderson Ipoh. When she was in high school, Azura was very active in extra-curricular activities especially in sports. She was selected to represent her school in field hockey and athletics, which later being selected to represent Perak State in field hockey. She obtained her first degree in Sports Science ( Sports Management) in 1999 from University of Malaya and a Masters Sports Science from UiTM Shah Alam in 2012.
Azura joined the Ministry of Youth and Sports Malaysia in 2001. With 20 years of service in both youth and sports development, she has a vast knowledge in governance, policy and strategic planning, module and creative programming development particularly in the field of youth and sports. In addition, she received numerous exposures to international platforms (seminars, workshops, conference) in the areas of youth and sports as participant and speaker. Currently, she is the Director of the Anti-doping Agency of Malaysia (ADAMAS) since November 2019.
Azura is a results-focused, quality-driven officer with extensive experience in youth and sports programs and activities. She demonstrated consistent achievement of objectives, strong multitasking, service skills and dedicated to organizational goals.
